Technology Designer Magazine, a prestigious publication run by a group of well-known industry technology veterans since 2018, has announced the winners of the 2023 Performance Home Award competition, in Residential Technology Design and Residential Product Development, and Maxicon is one of them.
Our project Harmonia, developed in Florida, has been double-awarded in the category of Best Design of Media Room and Outdoor Entertainment:
– For Hamornia’s Media Room the design goals were to create a luxurious and immersive cinematic experience while seamlessly integrating the technology into the space. The installation was meticulously planned to optimize acoustics, interior design, and user comfort. The room’s height constraint of 10 feet was overcome by carefully designing the steps to ensure perfect viewing from all three rows of seating. The result is a theater that not only enhances the entertainment experience but also complements the overall aesthetics and functionality of the residence.
– For Harmonia’s Outdoor Entertainment the goal of the installation was to create a seamless and immersive outdoor entertainment experience in a backyard area. It aimed to provide a combination of audiovisual entertainment and ambient lighting to enhance the space. The design focused on integrating technology into the natural surroundings to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Sliding doors lead to an outdoor area with hanging lights, while concealed speakers within the plants provide surround sound. The centerpiece is the pool area, where a screen can be easily raised from the floor at the push of a button, allowing users to enjoy movies, TV shows, or sports.
The TD Performance Home Awards represents significant achievements in indoor/outdoor products and creative artistic design. A panel of architects, builders, interior designers and industry influencers, driven by the vision, “Where Technology Meets Design™, judged the competition and chose the winners.
